Optimizely is looking for a Global Benefits and Mobility Manager to join our growing People and Places team. Your role will be critical in taking our Global Benefits programs to the next level by building the foundation for a great employee experience. You’ll take the lead to ensure that our current and future employees, here and abroad, have a seamless experience as they move across offices through our mobility program. Your passion for the employee experience will define the future of continuous improvement for our Benefits and Mobility programs.
Lead the design, implementation and administration of global benefits programs (health, dental, life, disability, retirement, pension, leave of absence and perks) with an emphasis on continued improvement
Brings expertise to defining the employee benefits philosophy for the future while considering competitive standards, costs, liabilities and employee interests and engagement
Turn data into action by bringing internal studies, employee feedback, external research, and business needs together to analyze the effectiveness and competitiveness of existing benefit and perks programs
Oversees and assess services of benefits consultants, brokers, third party administrators and other providers. Manages annual contract negotiations and open enrollment activities
Ensure regulatory compliance and reporting for benefit-related plans and programs on a global basis
Manage global mobility activities for expatriates, domestic and international transfers, including visa/immigration, taxation and expatriate compensation
Act as the liaison between immigration counsel and Optimizely to drive the visa application process, timeline, and manage expectations
Provide subject matter expertise on global mobility matters and advise key stakeholders on best practices
Minimum of 8 years of professional work experience of which at least 5 years is in a benefits role and 1-2 years with global immigration and/or relocation services on a People Operations team, familiarity with HRIS or Benefits Administration systems and immigration
Strong knowledge and understanding of rewards and perks prevalent in Silicon Valley
Experience working with benefit brokers and administering competitive benefit packages preferred
Knowledge of federal and state laws relating to benefit plans including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA and FMLA
Strong project management skills; proven ability to manage multiple analytics projects and ad-hoc requests
Analytical mindset. You approach problems from an inquisitive and scientific perspective and are always looking for data to help make decisions, but you know how to balance quantitative and qualitative insights
Great communication skills. Asking questions, listening, facilitating and arbitrating discussions, and presenting ideas to groups large and small are all things you are good at. One of your strengths is the ability to effectively translate complex concepts and information into clear and effective messages
Comfortable with change. You are able to work well under pressure, with limited direction and are comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Proactive and solutions-oriented. Hands-on approach and willingness to be involved with both strategic development and tactical implementation
