Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity available for an experienced Team Leader Injury Services to join our Corporate Health and Well-Being Services client’s high-performing team based in West Perth.

With over 25 years of experience, our client specialises in supporting individuals and organizations by helping injured or ill workers recover and return to meaningful work, following medical guidelines and industry best practices.

Your focus will be on the provision of the following:  

  • Support the Manager Injury Services to manage a case load of injured or ill workers to help them adjust to their injury/ illness and return to meaningful work
  • Supervision and people management of Injury Management Consultants and Early Care professionals
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives: strategy development and implementation of workplace rehabilitation and early intervention programs
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and optimise cost-effectiveness
  • Assist in the development of return- to-work policies and procedures
  • Proactive return to work advice and guidance
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships
  • Maintenance of strong stakeholder relationships with injured workers, employers, insurers, doctors and allied health professionals
  • Maintain confidential, comprehensive injury management case notes
  • Professional report writing

What you will need to succeed: 

  • Core values that align with the provision of services that are responsive, evidence based and pragmatic.
  • Minimum of 5 year’s experience working in workplace rehabilitation
  • Professional staff supervision experience
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • High-level conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to apply innovative solutions to complex problems in the development and implementation of relevant return to work programs
  • Current knowledge of Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023, along with current Regulations, Principles and Standards knowledge
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite
  • Proficiency with Case Manager Software
  • Current WA driver’s license
  • The ability to acquire a satisfactory National Police Clearance
  • High energy, discipline, resilience, self-motivation and results oriented approach
  • Strong ability to collaborate in a team environment and effectively contribute to achieving team objectives

Qualifications

  • Approved Workplace Rehabilitation Provider (Allied Health Professional) Qualification: Chiropractor; Occupational Therapist; Medical Practitioner; Registered Nurse; Psychologist; Physiotherapist; Rehabilitation Counsellor; Exercise Physiologist; Social Worker; Speech Pathologist
  • Current membership with the relevant Professional Association for your qualification (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC)
