Open Scientific provides contract staffing and direct hire recruitment services for the scientific, engineering, laboratory and manufacturing sectors.

Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm and 3:00pm-11:30pm

Shift pay rate: $11-50-12.65

Location: Holbrook, NY

A local vitamin company is currently hiring in their warehouse and distribution department. Some of the duties include but are not limited to: Performing a wide variety of stocking and packing duties. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

Responsibilities:

• Reads pick sheets or computer terminal to determine items and quantities to be selected
• Pulls/pushes cart or pallet jack for use in collecting order components
• Selects product from appropriate location and places into correct container
• Verifies corrects product(s) and quantity of each item are present
• Seals carton either manually or by utilizing box sealer tape machine
• Restocks picking locations with returned product Insures assigned area is properly replenished (A frame only)
• Operates electronic scanning equipment
• May be required to assemble kits
• Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMP guidelines
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area Performs other duties as assigned
