Company Description
Ferrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projects are undertaking the design, build, and finance the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations, and Tunnel (South Civil) package.
As Ontario Transit Group, we are now mobilizing our design and construction crews, with major works. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.
The project will strengthen Ontario’s economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.
What is the project?
- A six-kilometer tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River).
- Stations:
- One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station.
- Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations.
- Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown).

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Developing, implementing, and updating the Construction Quality Management Plan (CQMP),
- Providing quality training and awareness to the project personnel on the CQMP,
- Participating in the development of softwares and digital tools required to operate the Construction Quality Management System, and defines the access provision requirements for the project,
- Preparing the audit programme and schedule / conduct audits to ensure continual improvement of the CQMP, ensuring the closure of audit findings and any non-conformance raised on the project relevant to Construction activities,
- Safekeeping of Construction quality records.
Authority:
- Independent from the Construction Contractor’s Teams,
- Immediately stops any work or activity which is not being performed or carried out in accordance with the Construction Quality Documentation applicable,
- Ensures the establishment and maintenance of the Construction QMS,
- Audits and reports on the status of, and compliance with, the Construction QMS,
- Requires additional inspection or testing as deemed necessary over the course of the project,
- Reviews NCR requests before initiation,
- Compiles the list of ITPs covering all on-Site and off-Site inspection and test activities,
- ITP issuance approval.
Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Previous experience overseeing the construction quality of a project within the field of rail and transit, transportation and infrastructure projects of similar size, complexity, and contractual value to the Ontario Line South Project,
- Certified as quality professionals from certifying bodies as a minimum successful completion of an ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Training Course.
- Reports directly to the Quality Director.
- Assists and works in conjunction with the Quality Team and other departments for the successful delivery of the project.
- The job is mostly performed indoors in a traditional office setting. Occasional field trips outside of office may be required.
