Ontario Line South

Our team is mobilizing its design and construction crews, with major works to commence in 2023. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.

The project will strengthen Ontario’s economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.

What is the project?

  • A six-kilometre tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River)
  • Stations:
    • One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station
    • Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations
    • Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown.

Job Description

Join our team at Ontario Transit Group (OTG) as a Cost Control and Procurement Administrator, playing a crucial role in managing the end of the procurement phase and reception management. Your responsibilities will involve liaising with sites, managing goods reception, confirming services, and administering procurement data in our CASSIUS system. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to enhance cost control and finance tools management.

  •  Manage and coordinate the reception of goods and services, ensuring timely confirmation and accuracy of deliveries.
  • Liaise with project sites to facilitate the sending and reception of goods/services and confirm completion of services.
  • Administer and maintain accurate records of purchase order receptions and contract progress in the CASSIUS system.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper documentation and compliance with procurement processes.
  • Support cost control efforts by assisting in budget monitoring, variance analysis, and reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations related to procurement and cost control activities.
  • Conduct regular audits of procurement data to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
  • Provide general administrative support to the cost control and finance teams as needed.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent working experience. 
  • Proven experience in procurement administration, cost control, or finance roles is an asset
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, contract management, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in using procurement and finance software/tools (e.g., CASSIUS system, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with project sites and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of cost control principles, budgeting, and financial analysis is a plus.
