Workplace Experience Manager
- 135 East 57th Street, New York, NY, United States
We’re Onna: a fast-growing tech startup based in New York with offices in Barcelona and Research Triangle Park. Our international team is composed of fun, experienced, and hard-working individuals on a mission to make information easily accessible and useful, no matter where it lives. We build e-discovery, knowledge management, and other data search tools for our clients (Facebook, Electronic Arts, Dropbox, and Fitbit, to name a few.) In May 2019 we closed an $11M Series A led by Dawn Capital with the participation of our integration partners Slack Fund and Dropbox - and we’re focused on building an amazing team to deliver the best product possible.
We’re looking for a proactive, dynamic, and enthusiastic Workplace Experience Manager to keep our office running smoothly and our people happy. The right fit for this role is an energetic, thoughtful people-person who is like a duck - confident and poised on the surface, even while paddling furiously under pressure (er, water.) In this role, you’ll be the most important champion of our employees and company culture and have the opportunity to work beyond your job description daily, so you’ll always be engaged and learning!
If you’re excited to join a small but fast-growing team and have a direct impact on building the best workplace we possibly can, we want to meet you! Our work environment is lighthearted, fast-paced, exciting, and flexible. We’ll provide you with the tools, resources, and outstanding leadership to take your career to the next level.
What you’ll do:
Oversee and maintain responsibility for our physical office space, including managing the budget, inventory, vendor relationships, and physical office space
Keep our team well-fed and hydrated by owning our team lunch process and managing a food and beverage inventory and budget
Project-manage our upcoming office move including coordinating with vendors, contractors, designers and movers
Serve as a brand ambassador and champion of our company culture internally and externally including maintaining budget and planning and executing on team events and employee milestones
Support recruiting efforts and new employee onboarding
Manage setup for All Hands and other company-wide meetings including meeting rooms, AV logistics, and food.
You have previous project management experience in some capacity (previous office or facilities management and experience managing an office move is a huge plus!)
You have a proven ability to manage budgets for large-scale spaces and projects
You have some experience managing vendors
Who you are and what you can do:
You’re detail-obsessed and thoughtful with an innate desire to improve the appearance of your environment and make people happy.
You take full ownership of whatever is thrown your way with a high level of service, responsiveness, and follow-through for both internal and external stakeholders.
You proactively identify issues and areas for improvement and take the initiative to create solutions and ways to make things better.
You are a self-starter who works well with a lot of autonomy and little direction, and you understand when and how to appropriately involve others and ask for help.
You are a quick learner with a natural flexibility to adapt to change.
You’re an excellent communicator at all levels and thrive on building meaningful, trusting relationships.
You understand the importance of ROI and make decisions related to your job accordingly.
You’re a natural systematic thinker and organizer of people, process, and information.
You have a positive, can-do attitude.
All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
