Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager/Civil Engineer to join our client's team in Raleigh. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing multiple concurrent projects from conception to completion.

    Responsibilities:

    • Project budgeting, staff management, client and regulatory agency interactions, project schedule and deliverable production on projects.
    • Directs preparation of due diligence/site analysis, conceptual/schematic site plans, construction documents, calculations, specifications and construction administration. Provides technical support on projects as necessary.
    • Assist with business development activities including marketing and proposal preparation, as necessary.
    • Training and mentoring of employees.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required. Knowledge of Deltek Vision software preferred.
    • Extensive knowledge of technical software such as Civil 3D, AutoCad, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, WaterCad, Storm design software, GIS and other similar applications.
    • Ability to clearly express ideas through written routine correspondence including: email, reports, memorandums, letters, specifications, proposals/contracts and firm marketing material.
    • Ability to present a variety of information, effectively and clearly express ideas and information, and respond to questions from and make formal presentations to clients, government regulatory agencies, the public, management and staff.
    • Excellent listening skills with the ability to quickly comprehend new information and execute direction.
    • Effective leader in a team environment.
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and manage conflicting priorities.
    • Ability to make decisions with minimal direction.
    • Ability to apply civil engineering concepts to problem solving involving site design issues.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
    • North Carolina PE required.
    • Minimum eight (6) years experience in profession.
    • Minimum two (2) years project management experience.
    • Site civil experience.
    • Extensive knowledge of site-related design, codes and construction practices in profession.
    • Experienced in coordinating technical efforts of others.
