Job Description

Omni Calculator is looking for a part-time researcher and content writer with an expertise in one of the following fields: physics, mathematics, finance or "general science" (topics that don't belong to a specific category, but require critical thinking)

As a researcher at Omni, you will be responsible for creating calculators from idea until the final product. You will choose your topic, research it, and propose the most optimal tool that helps our users. 

  • Researching problems in your area of expertise (online sources, scientific articles)

  • Building calculators for these problems (the building process is fairly easy to learn)

  • Choosing keywords to optimize your text around

  • Writing high-quality texts for various target groups 

  • Participating in ongoing projects, e.g. cooperating with the marketing team in creating calculators about recent newsworthy topics

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Certain degree of expertise in your area (physics, mathematics, finance or science in general).

  • Excellent written English skills (C1 level, we don't need the actual certificate).

  • An ability to write engaging texts for both laymen and advanced readers in your area of expertise.

  • Good self-organization and time management skills. 

  • An ability to commit to at least 16 hours of work per week.

Nice to have (but not required):

  • Content writing and SEO experience.

  • Experience in popularizing science, teaching etc.

  • Unique interests that can be turned into calculators :D

 Salary & Employment

  • The base salary is 3-3.3k net PLN, depending on a type of contract. This amount is for a full-time engagement, proportionally less if you work part-time.
