    Job Description

    What you will do: You will join the Data Tribe with the mission of:

    Define and implement data quality, protection, and usage policies across the organisation. This includes developing and implementing data governance strategies and processes, aligning them with the business strategies to ensure that data is a key driver of value. Implement and maintain data governance frameworks and policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.

    • Work on the definition and implementation of our Data Governance strategy
    • Develop and maintain documentation for data assets, including metadata. Ensure that metadata is accurate and up-to-date.
    • Monitor and assess data quality, identifying areas for improvement and working with relevant stakeholders to address issues.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, includingTech, Product, Design, Data Engineering, and other stakeholders, to promote a data-driven culture and ensure alignment with business objectives.
    • Define and enforce data stewardship responsibilities, working with data stewards across the organisation to ensure data assets are properly managed.
    • Provide training and support to ensure that employees understand and adhere to data governance policies. Communicate the value of data governance to various stakeholders.

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years experience as an Analytics Engineer or related functions with focus on Data Governance
    • Proven track record of working with SQL, Python, Airflow, dBT and Looker
    • Experience in Data Modelling: You know what Dimensional Modelling, Normalised/Non-Normalised models are, its implications, how to implement them and its impact on data consumption.
    • Experience in large-scale data processing. You have queried tables with hundreds of Terabytes before and know your way in writing the most effective queries.
    • Strong expertise in cloud-based data warehouses like Google BigQuery
    • Fluency in English verbal and written skills
    • Experience with a Data Quality frameworks and tools 
    • Tableau knowledge is considered a plus

    Education

    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a proven experience in related fields.
