Job Description

Your role:

Leading a team of data scientists and analysts working closely with stakeholders to define product roadmap, implement and analysis new features and improve retention

Collaborate closely with different teams, most predominantly in technology areas such as Product, Engineering, and Design, or the Management teams to develop a customer-driven and data-driven strategy to drive product evolution, enhance customer experience and deliver growth and financial impact.

Apply statistical methods to analyze and mine business data, identify correlations and new metrics, find trends and patterns, and create data reports to formulate, answer questions and solve business problems.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Lead and Grow the Product Analytics team, set priorities, roadmap and pipeline and development impulses

  • Disciplinary leadership for people in the Product Analytics team, driving learning and development opportunities

  • Perform statistical analyses - including A/B tests and pre/post analyses on feature usage to advise on feature adoption and evolution

  • Foster and initiate machine-learning and model based analyses to support product initiatives

  • Lead weekly Product Performance Review, deep-dive on top-line metrics and funnel KPIs to advise business

  • Support product & tech organization in ad-hoc analyses, guide and steer usage of KPIs in these departments 

  • Develop core intuition on business performance. Thus becoming the go-to person on product (comprising engineering and design contributions) performance and KPIs

  • Drive consistency and best-practice for front-end tracking approaches, team-up with respective teams for implementation

  • Generate tactical insights from analytics and visualisation to shape the product strategy

  • Act as an advocate of our company’s data-driven culture: produce reports that are actionable, dashboards that are diagnostic, and recommendations that drive growth

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • University degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a similar field; 7+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in e-commerce

  • Passionate about working with numbers; you hold excellent analytical skills, have confidence in working with large data sets and are an expert in SQL and Excel/Google sheets (R/Python is a plus)

  • Proven track record in running conclusive experiments; ideally in both App and Web environments

  • A good understanding of machine learning and AI models and how to utilize them for business growth and better customer experience

  • You are fluent in English; additional languages are always valued at Omio

  • You are a team player with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills 

  • You take a solution oriented approach to problem solving

  • You have led a small team with success and enjoy empowering others to grow in their career path
