Job Description

Responsible for performing duties with a high degree of independence, initiative, and judgment. This role requires extensive experience leading complex, cross-functional projects from concept through to end of life.
The Project Lead Payments & Fraud reports to the Head of Payments and Fraud and is accountable for all cross-functional project requirements.

These are the main responsibilities

  1. Leads projects for the full lifecycle; on time, within budget and meeting business requirements.
  2. Review of requirements and technical documentation.
  3. Document all projects and internal processes in place.
  4. Prepare weekly and monthly project reporting to communicate project status internally and to external stakeholders.
  5. Supports the Payments and Fraud Managers in the development, review and validation of planned changes to the Payments & Fraud projects strategy, with a view to short and long-term success.

Specific tasks - example list: 

  • Co-ordinates and leads regular Projects Review meetings with the Payments and Fraud Managers and Checkout Team
  • Translates the output of data analytics and reports into insights and recommendations to optimize customer experience
  • Remain abreast of payment technologies, tools and techniques for automation, quality, and security
  • Collaborate and share knowledge with the cross functional teams to deliver high quality products, and to help grow team capability

  • Acceptance rate strategy
  • Cost of sales strategy
  • Fraud and risk management strategy
  • Customer Centricity – customers, colleagues and investors

Qualifications

This is what you bring to the team

  • Experience in leading and delivering technical projects
  • Familiarity with Payment Card Industry compliance
  • Solid Excel knowledge, basic understanding of SQL or comparable tool is considered a plus
  • Project Management knowledge is considered a plus
  • Highly motivated and organized self-starter with excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and meticulous in approach
  • Passionate about solving customer problems through building a simple and secure booking and payment flow by using the power of technology and automation
  • Experimental and data driven approach - able to diagnose problems, trends and recommend an action plan to resolve issues
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and set metrics to back up assumptions, evaluate outcomes and further improve performance
  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally with engineering, sales, design, and data analytics to ideate, develop, and launch innovative user-facing features and internal tools
