Job Description

As a student intern with our Applied Technology team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you understand how an engineering firm uses GIS in various markets and disciplines. ArcGIS Pro and Civil 3D will be the main software you’ll utilize, but you may also use Adobe Creative Cloud, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise to fulfill mapping requests. You will work closely with other team members to create maps, edit data layers, perform data queries, and process orthophotography. You will also assist with mapping updates and data management.

This is a six-to-twelve-month internship ranging from 30-40 hours a week during the summer and 20-25 hours a week during the school year.

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team
  • Pursuing a degree that includes GIS coursework
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro software
  • Some experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work 20-25 hours per week during the school year in our office
