Job Description

As a Team Leader for our Site/Civil team, you will be responsible for the overall financial performance, leadership, and  management of the team. This includes helping team members with professional development and managing high performance expectations, client relationships, and project production/quality. The Team Leader may also manage projects or assist the project team with project management duties.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Provides daily management and leadership for a team.

• Provides direction to the team on the prioritization of projects.

• Manages the team financials for profit and communicates with team members.

• Ensures high client service orientation through regular and effective communication with internal and external clients.

• Communicates regularly with team members about project, team, and firm initiatives.

• Oversees overall project management and quality control of the team’s efforts.

• May serve in advisory or committee roles for external professional organizations that affect public relation efforts for the firm.

• Oversees marketing efforts for repeat clients and local opportunities for the team, which include client strategy, proposal process, interviewing, and selection efforts.

• Collaborates with business development staff to pursue additional client opportunities.

Successful candidate for this role may be based out of either our Fort Worth, TX or Dallas, TX office location.

You bring to the team:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, Construction, Planning, Landscape Architecture, or Business
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in the consulting industry
  • At least 4 years of experience supervising others, serving in project management roles and/or performing senior-level responsibilities
  • Daily management and leadership for a team

Qualified candidates will:

• Have a proven track record in meeting and exceeding client expectations through excellent project management and staffing.

• Have successful experience in marketing and developing business to build and maintain a strong workload for the team.

• Have the ability to attract, develop, and retain talented staff who deliver results.

• Have excellent client management, client service orientation, and writing and presentation skills.
