At Olsson, we help our clients proactively comply with complicated regulatory processes and provide our clients with the latest and best methods of environmental expertise. As an Environmental Scientist in our Kearney or Grand Island, NE office, you will provide a full range of environmental support for our clients. Tasks would include soil and groundwater sampling at various project sites, operation of groundwater remediation systems, completing wetland delineations and assist with the Clean Water Act Section 404 permitting, and conducting field surveys for threatened and endangered species and migratory birds. This position requires an extensive amount of fieldwork and will include travel throughout the Central part of Nebraska, and occasionally out of state. This position requires fieldwork during a variety of weather conditions and terrain types.

YOU BRING TO THE TEAM: 

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, environmental science, natural resources or equivalent
• 0-5 years of related experience
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
• A desire to succeed and work independently
• A willingness to work a flexible schedule which can include travel
• Ability to contribute and support Olsson in meeting our clients’ needs
