Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and creative Senior BI Analyst to join our team. This position requires a functional understanding of business domains preferably in one of Healthcare/ Financial services/ Retail sectors and ability to facilitate stakeholder communication, conduct workshops and create clear documentation.
A good understanding of data visualization tools such as Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI, complemented by strong proficiency in SQL would be ideal. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in data analytics and business intelligence, with a keen ability to gather and understand customer business requirements. This role demands exceptional design skills to build visually appealing and insightful dashboards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Collaborate with business users to gather, understand, and document business requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and BI solutions.
- Conduct requirement analysis sessions with stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment of vision.
2. Develop and Design BI Solutions:
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced BI solutions, focusing on high usability and aesthetic appeal.
- Create interactive and visually compelling dashboards and reports using tools like Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all deliverables.
3. Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Perform complex data analysis to extract actionable insights and support business decisions.
- Develop automated reports and dashboards, continuously iterating to enhance user experience and data storytelling.
- Work closely with stakeholders to tailor reporting based on evolving needs.
4. Database and Query Optimization:
- Develop sophisticated SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
- Optimize database performance and query efficiency.
- Uphold data quality and integrity standards.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Support:
- Engage with different business units to integrate BI solutions into diverse business processes.
- Provide ongoing support and training to users on new and existing BI tools and dashboards.
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6. Project Leadership:
- Lead BI development projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication.
7. Innovate and Stay Current:
- Keep updated with the latest trends in BI technology, design, and data analytics.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance BI capabilities.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role in the Data domain.
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with database technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Proven experience in requirements gathering and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Exceptional design skills for creating visually appealing and intuitive dashboards.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data engineering.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with data modeling and predictive analytics.
- Familiarity with Python or R.
- Expertise in data visualization tools like Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Experience in data science is a plus.
