Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Takeout Attendant to join our team. This role is similar to a Busser and is focused on keeping the dining and service areas clean, organized, and ready for guests.

The day to day:

  • Maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-organized environment throughout the Food Hall.
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly to ensure they are ready for the next guests.
  • Collect, sort, and dispose of garbage and recycling in accordance with Food Hall standards.
  • Keep dining areas, service areas, and common spaces clean and organized throughout the shift.
  • Regularly monitor the Food Hall and proactively address any cleaning or service needs.
  • Clean and maintain high-touch areas, surfaces, and guest-facing spaces as required.
  • Restock napkins, cutlery, condiments, takeout supplies, and other guest-facing items as needed.
  • Assist with basic food and beverage service duties when required.
  • Support food vendors and the broader Front of House team to ensure a smooth and efficient guest experience.
  • Respond to guest requests in a friendly and professional manner and direct questions to the appropriate team member when needed.
  • Help maintain an organized and safe environment by promptly addressing spills, hazards, or other issues.
  • Assist with opening, closing, and general upkeep duties as required.
  • Follow all food safety, health, safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards and company procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the team and support with other general service, cleaning, and operational duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant, hospitality, Food Runner, Busser, or cleaning experience is an asset but not required; training will be provided.
  • Friendly, positive, and team-oriented attitude with a strong commitment to guest service.
  • Reliable, punctual, responsible, and dependable.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced Food Hall environment.
  • Ability to take initiative, stay organized, and proactively identify cleaning and service needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, health, and safety standards.
  • Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, and cleaning.
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, is an asset.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
