Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. In this hands-on role, you will lead by example, ensuring the highest quality and consistency in all pastry products served. With a commitment to precision, safety, and cleanliness, you’ll help uphold our standards and exceed guest expectations with every dessert.

The Day to Day:

  • You’ll lead by example as a hands on Pastry Cook ensuring the quality and consistency of all products served.
  • You strive or accuracy and consistency ensuring that all desserts are prepared to the standards as set out by the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine
  • You’re able  to maintaining accurate records of all food ingredients for pastry
  • You’re a stickler for detail ensuring all menu items have their recipes recorded, costs tallied and updated on an ongoing basis
  • You value organization and procedures and easily identify and correct any issues that can impact the effectiveness of the operation
  • You value health, safety and cleanliness standards are adhered to and correct any deficiencies
  • You professional handle all special requests and guest allergies to ensure guest health and satisfaction
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years progressive experience in a pastry capacity
  • Knowledge of new trends in presentation and preparation
  • Proven ability to work well with a team, and as an individual
  • Culinary degree/diploma an asset
  • Available evenings, weekends, holidays
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
