CPA certified accountant, based in Toronto or GTA,  that can provide financial support for food and beverage operations for various Oliver and Bonacini restaurants by performing a wide variety of daily accounting activities as well as maintaining accurate and updated accounting information and other duties as required.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preform daily revenue reconciliations and postings
• Prepare gratuity reconciliations and distributions
• Maintain accurate and updated accounts receivables
• Ensure accounts receivables are followed up and collected on a timely basis
• Prepare intercompany invoices and transfers
• Prepare weekly and monthly journal entries
• Determination of month end accruals
• Ensure accounting of revenue and expenses are allocated to proper general ledger accounts
• Reconciliation of general ledger to supporting sub-ledgers
• Maintain supporting sub-ledgers for various balance sheet accounts
• Reconciliations of other accounts as required
• Respond to operational inquiries as required

• Able to commute to Head Office Monday - Friday, some remote work after probationary period is successful.
• CPA certification, or in progress
• 3+ years working experience in a similar accounting or restaurant operations capacity
• Level 1-3 University/College Accounting courses
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience with Navision is an asset
• Practical working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Self-starter, flexible, focused and able to work independently
• Ability to multi-task, and change priorities constantly as needed in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional telephone etiquette
• Superior customer service skills in addition to impeccable personal presentation required
