POSITION SUMMARY

Works with the entire Oliver & Bonacini portfolio of Restaurants, Events & Catering, and partner locations to assist in the planning and execution of new location openings & current operational initiatives; effectively collaborating with both internal and external partners to ensure success.

*Please note this is a 12-month contract based in Halifax*

Job Description

  • Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information
  • Coordinate project update calls and design meetings; compile and send meeting minutes
  • Coordinate site visits, installations and deliveries with relevant parties
  • Monitor and update project progress and schedules, follow-up on outstanding items
  • Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants  
  • Maintain up-to-date tracking of expenses to project budgets
  • Oversee procurement, including operational supplies & equipment as directed by the project team
  • Liaise with Operations & Marketing teams on restaurant opening activities, such as Friends & Family, branded items, uniforms, artwork & décor, training preparation(AV, supplies, etc)
  • General admin and organization
  • On-site support as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years management experience in a restaurant or event operation and/or Project Management experience/completed education in Project Management
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Practical working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Self-starter, flexible, and able to work independently & occasionally outside regular working hours
  • Ability to multi-task, and change priorities constantly as needed in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional telephone etiquette
  • Ability to demonstrate unwavering professionalism in a fast-paced environment
