Job Description
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Manage kitchen operations
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Cuisine Specialties: French; Canadian; Italian cuisine
- Employment: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
- Work Setting: Restaurant; Catering firm; Hotel, motel, resort

Qualifications
- 1-2 years cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant.
- Food Safety Certificate
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Transportation: Own transportation
- Standing for extended periods
- Repetitive tasks
- Work under pressure
- Attention to detail
