Job Description
The Host/ Private Dining Liaison is responsible for delivering fantastic service living by our company’s values & visions. He/she is involved in various aspects of the restaurant, including leading the host team, assisting with training & coaching new hires and other administrative duties. Additionally, the Host/Private Dining Room Liaison will act as a liaison to guests, colleagues and management to ensure a positive dining experience.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaise with the Private Dining team to ensure all
details and information are communicated forward to management
and Chef Bill - Track events monthly (ACC, Sony Centre, STLC etc.)
- Create private dining packages in anticipation of events (printing menus, BEO's, ensuring pre-auth credit card forms are
completed etc.) - Responsible for ordering office supplies and specialty paper
- Office support for management (processing refunds, reprinting itemized receipts, updating staff phone list)
- Gift Card inventory maintenance, processing and re-ordering
- Oversees lost and found
- Responsible for dividing FOH hourly and BOH hourly gratuities
- Open table management - ensuring blocks are placed for closures/buy-outs etc., sheets are created for special events, maintaining NB files
- Printing of all menus
- Hours Mon-Friday 10:00am - Business decline (3:00pm - 4:00pm)
- Liaise with the Private Dining team to ensure all
Qualifications
- 1-3 years working experience in a similar host or administrative capacity
- Strong knowledge of Open Table Reservations System
- Practical working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Work well under pressure; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Self-starter, flexible, and able to work independently
- Strong organizational, communication & leadership skills
- Excellent Food and Beverage Menu Knowledge
- Ability to multi-task, and change priorities constantly as needed in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional telephone etiquette
- Superior customer service skills in addition to impeccable personal presentation required
