The SEO Specialist is responsible for supporting day-to-day SEO initiatives, while contributing to O&B’s overall content marketing and website optimization strategies.

Job Description

The SEO specialist will work independently and with the marketing team to:

  • Perform extensive audits of restaurant, venue and corporate websites to ensure SEO best practices are implemented across all existing websites
  • Identify areas that need to be optimized and make adjustments accordingly
  • Implement on-page and off-page optimizations, analyze competitors and identify link-building opportunities 
  • Work closely with external web developers and copywriters to ensure new site builds align with SEO best practices
  • Perform keyword, industry and competitive research to inform content marketing strategy
  • Develop and execute forward-thinking, proactive content plans based on keyword research, with a focus on improving organic search results
  • Collaborate with team members to create high-quality content centered around relevant and powerful keywords and trends
  • Write SEO-driven content designed to drive traffic, promote engagement and support company objectives
  • Provide strategic, actionable insights for improving organic and local search rankings
  • Leverage keyword research to plan, build, optimize and analyze PPC campaigns
  • Set up custom conversions through Google AdWords, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Summarize and gather insights to optimize campaign performance
  • Stay up-to-date on industry changes and identify new technologies to improve processes
  • Conduct NAP and listing audits to ensure citations are accurate and optimized, and create, claim and verify new listings
  • Provide reporting on digital activities


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS                                                                                                            

  • Post-secondary education with a degree or diploma in digital marketing, business or communications
  • 2+ years experience in SEO strategy development and execution
  • Advanced understanding of SEO best practices and experience developing SEO-driven content
  • Certified in Google Analytics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of content management systems, with past experience working in WordPress
  • Experience running ads on Google, Bing and YouTube is an asset
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Works extremely well under pressure and is able to multi-task on concurrent projects
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment
  • Passionate about food and the restaurant industry
