Job Description

The Host/ Private Dining Liaison is responsible for delivering fantastic service living by our company’s values & visions. He/she is involved in various aspects of the restaurant, including leading the host team, assisting with training & coaching new hires and other administrative duties. Additionally, the Host/Private Dining Room Liaison will act as a liaison to guests, colleagues and management to ensure a positive dining experience.


PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet, welcome and assign guests to table
  • Interact with guests, get to know NBs and use guest names wherever possible 
  • Maximize seating efficiency 
  • Ability to successfully handle guest complaints 
  • Answer the phone and efficiently work phone system
  • Creates and prints menus for all Private Functions
  • Puts together Private Dining Folders for each Function including floor plan, order taking sheets, printed menus, copy of deposit
  • Updates and organizes Private Dining and Events Calendar 
  • Communicates with Private Dining and Events department 
  • Communicates menu and wine list and any other changes to Back of House and Front of House management team accordingly
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years working experience in a similar host or administrative capacity
  • Strong knowledge of Open Table Reservations System
  • Practical working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Work well under pressure; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously 
  • Self-starter, flexible, and able to work independently 
  • Strong organizational, communication & leadership skills
  • Excellent Food and Beverage Menu Knowledge
  • Ability to multi-task, and change priorities constantly as needed in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional telephone etiquette
  • Superior customer service skills in addition to impeccable personal presentation required
