Provide financial & accounting support for Oliver & Bonacini restaurants via the process of preparing and analysing financial statements and showing inherent leadership qualities and the attention to detail necessary to ensure accurate reporting in all areas.

• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule.
• Analyse monthly PL’s for discrepancies and any other issues that should be brought to the controller’s attention.
• Responsible for all aspects of the month-end closing processes, including recording accruals and preparing and adjusting journal entries.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Build relationships with restaurant managers and anticipate restaurant managers’ needs.
• Provide work direction and advice to other staff.
• Communicate daily with operational personnel to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and distribute bi-weekly payroll gratuity reporting.
• Prepare and post sales for multiple restaurants.
• Reconcile credit card & gift card payments recorded to actual payments received.
• Set up and maintain accounts receivable spreadsheets and reconcile to the general ledger.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 3-6 years of practical accounting experience.
• Working towards a professional accounting designation.
• Previous experience in a hospitality environment an asset.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
• Self-starter, flexible, and able to work independently.
• Detail-oriented with proven organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
