Job Description

Joining us means you will be part of an extraordinary and exciting company! You’re a key team player reporting to your Chef and directly contribute to the offerings and guest experience. You take pride in your section and contribute to the culinary teams productively and exceptional menu execution.  You’ll learn our sought after set of systems and procedures and be first on the list for internal opportunities. You’ll bring professional, enthusiastic ownership to your dishes each day; and contribute in setting our restaurants apart while assisting the FOH team to create a rave worthy guest experience!

The Day to Day:

  • You are keen to acquire new skills and take direction, feedback, coaching from your from Sous Chef, Chef and/or General Manager
  • You’re enthusiastic about the service ahead and proactively prepare, and organize your station of according to O&B standards
  • You value the recipes, portion controls and presentation specification as set by the restaurant
  • You easily maintain a prep list of station duties
  • You understand the importance of the FIFO method to maximize freshness
  • You’re a team player and step in to assist with receiving and storing delivered items
  • You’re like us, fanatical about cleanliness of food prep areas, equipment, utensils and strictly adhere to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines
  • Strictly adhere to WHMIS and MSDS guidelines
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant
  • Culinary diploma/degree is an asset
  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
  • Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Able to spend 100% of the time standing
  • Serve Safe certified
