Old Skull Games, an independent video games studio based in Lyon, is looking for a F2P Game Designer to join its growing team.
Founded by industry veterans, Old Skull Games works both on original IP and in partnership with famous publishers, mainly on mobile, but also on consoles and PC / Mac.

As a F2P Game Designer, your role will be to understand how our games work, and constantly suggest design improvements (features, balancing, …) leading to higher player engagement.

Your main tasks:
Define and improve the economy model and balancing of our F2P games to continuously enhance players experience as well as increase key performances
Collaborate with game designers to make sure all new game features fit within the established economy model, maximize short & long-term player engagement and provide monetization opportunities.
Recommend rewards and monetization game features to create an economic system to fulfill player needs.
Balance customer experience Vs revenue opportunity for in-game currency and virtual goods.
Drive new initiatives for monetizing and rewarding the customer base.
Contribute to game features/systems design that compel and re-engage players.
Participate with design teams to create a fun, engaging and outstanding player experience.
Proven experience on social/MMO/GAAS/F2P games.
Experience in running a game as a service with a strong understanding of how to use data and analysis in order to adjust game balancing and mechanics with a view to improve games performances.
Strong ability to design, champion and balance players progression and game economy models
Skillful at complex Excel spreadsheets and how to setup game balancing & economy models
Experience with data analysis.
Strong problem solving skills.
Knowledge of F2P mobile market, staying up to date on industry trends, key competitors and best practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet changing priorities on multiple simultaneous projects.
Be a team player: we use agile development methods, where the team members are in permanent contact. Open mind and good communication skills are a must.
Have a good command of English
