Job Description Overview

  • Key Account Management Appliance & Medical Application position
  • Reporting to the China Regional Sales Head (solid line) and to the Appliance & Medical KAM Heads (dotted line)
  • Located in Shanghai
  • Full time position
  • Experienced salesperson with an ability to manage Global Key Accounts and Domestic Strategic Accounts
  • Able to do some Business Development starting from zero
  • Experience with Bioprocess Equipment manufacturers or Medical Device manufacturers
  • Experience with navigating in an international matrix organization
  • Ability to think and act both strategically and hands on
  • Technical mind-set (Engineer/Technician)
  • Ability to travel frequently (95% in China, and 5% in EMEA/Americas)
  • Understanding of cultural diversity
  • Effective team player while driving own areas of responsibility
  • Self-motivating person

 Key activities

  • Be involved in all the Global Key Account / Domestic Strategic Account new projects by supporting their R&D and Engineering locations
  • Facilitate commercial reviews
  • Define pricing and margin development activities
  • Support Market and Application knowledge acquisition in the two applications
  • Support China Regional Sales colleagues by sharing best practices and application knowledge
  • Build market demand / specifying for end-user or up-stream customer
  • Benchmark products within the industry to validate market trends/requirements (Voice of China)
  • Promote innovation (Voice of China)

 Roles & responsibilities

  • Responsible for the commercial part of the business like sales and margin, tracking and in case of deviations taking actions
  • Become the unique single point commercial contact at Global Key Account and Domestic Strategic Account
  • Identify and build relationship with Key contacts (R&D, Eng, Purch…). Ensure unserved divisions are discovered and contacted
  • Close communication with China Regional Sales colleagues, common customer visits and mutual support
  • Market launches of new Oetiker products in cooperation with Marketing and Application Management team
  • Interacts with the customers on a technical base and coordinates inputs with Marketing and Application Management team
  • Visit trade shows and insure networking activities
  • Regularly report customers updates

 Experience & skills

  • Ability to manage Global Key Accounts and Domestic Strategic Accounts
  • Proven track record of success with large international B2B accounts
  • Experience with navigating in an international matrix organization
  • Ability to think and act both strategically and hands on
  • A candidate coming from a company selling solutions to Bioprocess equipment manufacturers or Medical Devices manufacturers would be a strong advantage
