  • Develop and maintain all forecasting (short term and long term) for all product groups sold and/or produced in the Americas. Identify, develop, and lead local entity Demand Forecasters to ensure demand can be fulfilled in a timely manner
  • Actively develop and maintain monthly Sales and Operations planning process (S&OP) by providing forecast information for upcoming 12-60 months (minimum) into the future for global production capacity planning
  • As integral owner of the S&OP process, contribute to defining the optimum inventory levels of production and inter-company purchased items to ensure availability for customer demand while minimizing costs of such inventory (FG DIO targets)
  • Conduct market data research and collaborate with Sales and Marketing team to create statistical forecasts ensuring solid production planning and supply chain execution for each entity in the Americas  
  • Provide monthly updates to Sales Team detailing expected and actual sales performance
  • Supervise multi location team to review data integrity of ERP systems pertaining to finished goods, work-in-process, raw material, lot sizes, min/max and safety stocks for each product group
  • Ensure up-to-date processes, procedures and work instructions are maintained
  • Maintain forecast accuracy and bias, KPIs ensuring they meet requirements
  • Participate in and support Continuous Improvement and OPS (Oetiker Production System) activities to help streamline processes and improve efficiencies
  • Provide support to other departments as necessary

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Windows
  • ERP Operational Software – Working knowledge of all operational and vendor supplied software (SAP software experience an asset)
  • Communication Skills: Interpersonal and Business Writing Skills
  • Product Knowledge: Product training

Additional Information

Education / Experience

  • 4 yr College Diploma in Business Administration (preferred), Operations and Inventory  Management (APICS  CPIM or CS & OP certification preferred) or Supply Chain Management experience
  • 2-3 years of Automotive Manufacturing.  Customer Service, Production and Inventory Management, Logistics, Purchasing knowledge and hands-on proficiency in a high volume production and logistics environment
  • Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 standards
