Job Description

Position Summary

 

Technical support engineer responsible for providing technical support of both Oetiker products and installation tools to customer, also provide interface between other Oetiker entities and customer regarding quality issues with the goal of meeting Oetiker and customer’s requirements.

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Provide in-depth technical consultations and support for products to customers.
  • Understanding the Customer needs and inputs from Sales teams to deliver technical solutions for various applications.
  • Support project manager for key projects to ensure the final solution is delivered towards customer’s expectation and initial proposals.
  • Conduct regular Product and Application Trainings for Internal and external personnel to develop technical competency and product awareness.
  • Onsite customer installation of pneumatic and electronic tooling into high-end automated assembly lines
  • Provide customer training and support of Oetiker installation tools remotely or at customer location.
  • Repair tools either at OEK or customer location as required.
  • Ordering spare parts for repair in communication with sales admin.
  • Investigate quality issue at customer site and follow up in finding root cause.
  • Communicate technical points with the relevant Oetiker functions at different entities for customer’s quality issues.

 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skill in both Korean and English
  • Sense of responsibility, teamwork and positive spirit
  • Comprehensive Knowledge of relevant Oetiker products and related customer’s applications

 

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor in mechanical engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years engineering work experience (Automotive industry experience preferred).
