Essential Functions

  • Performs the company’s receiving inspection process
  • Performs activities related to non-conforming materials
  • Issues and manages Supplier Corrective Action Reports
  • Issues and manages Returned Goods Authorizations
  • Ensures in-process inspection requirements are followed
  • Assists production personnel with identifying, documenting, and resolving product quality issues
  • Performs final inspection of finished product
  • Verifies/calibrates gauges and tracks calibration schedule for all measuring systems (planning, execution, documentation)
  • Supports testing procedures to ensure all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, and protocols
  • Escalates non-conforming product to relevant function, as necessary
  • Assists in investigating production issues and developing solutions to improve operations, productivity, quality, and safety
  • Actively participates in production meetings with the manufacturing team
  • Member of the company facility safety team
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Valid authorization to work in the United States, sponsored employment-based visas are not available for this position.
  • Ability to work and interact in a small to medium sized team-oriented environment
  • Effective communication skills in English, capable of inspiring a quality driven culture
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and associated tolerancing and GD&T
  • Experienced in supporting cross-functional teams
  • Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, hardness tester, etc.)
  • Self-motivated and well organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experienced with root cause analysis
  • Ability to identify common quality-related problems
  • Familiarity with and/or working knowledge of ISO9001 a plus
