Our Polymer Center of Competence, located at Lindholmen in Gothenburg Sweden, is a newly founded branch of the Oetiker Group with the global responsibility to develop polymer connecting solutions and systems mainly for thermal management applications in electric vehicles. Job Description

We are expanding our team in Gothenburg and are looking for a Global Supply Chain Manager. You will be responsible for leading and managing our global supply chain strategy and operations for all our new polymer products. This includes building and managing the supplier base, supporting demand and supply planning, coordinating the global roll-out of new production processes and ensuring smooth and efficient customer order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a global supply chain strategy for polymer products that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives
  • Identify potential suppliers, analyze capabilities and build and manage a network of capable suppliers and production partners
  • Lead RFI/ RFQ/ RFP and strategic sourcing process and review, analyze and clarify quote packages from suppliers
  • Lead contractual negotiations with suppliers and manage relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials and products
  • Act as interface between process development and production teams and plan & coordinate the roll-out of new production processes in different Oetiker production locations
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement and implement process changes if needed
  • Partner with KAM, Program Management and Production to plan sales projections and production capacity needs (Sales & Operations Planning)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement global logistics and distribution processes for polymer products to ensure smooth customer order fulfillment
  • Create procedures for inventory management and maintain inventory controls for all materials
  • Act as an advisor to Engineering, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials
  • Work closely alongside Program Management and other key stakeholders to ensure milestone fulfillment in customer programs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
  • 5+ years working experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in automotive
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices
  • Experience with quality standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001
  • Experience with inventory management and control
  • Strong project management skills
  • Fluent in English and Swedish, any other language is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated and a self-starter with hands-on skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills – Able to communicate and work effectively with stakeholders across different cultures and business functions
