The IT Business Partner R&D role is expected to work closely with the Worldwide R&D Department of the Company in automotive and manufacturing sector.

This includes performing the role as a subject matter expert, Project or sub-project lead, and PLM consultant for the Company innovative Initiatives.

Transform engineering systems into new operational models, optimize development processes and product data management systems and support implementing new PLM architectures and solutions. The role always acts as a trusted PLM advisor.

The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset and must have proven experience in several PLM solutions and consulting projects.

The Consultant role will be required to ensure quality, cultivate relationships with Stake Holders, develop new business opportunities, and continuously improve the ability to be innovative and bring value to our Company.

Tasks: 

  • Deliver and manage the R&D Demand and projects, which includes, but is not limited to, PLM Optimization, R&D Performance, Systems Engineering, Configuration
  • Management, Product Development Processes, Digitization, and Innovation
  • Become a trusted advisor to R&D Stakeholders to actively shape the future of automotive and manufacturing
  • Design and Manufacturing data management experience (MCAD, ECAD, CAM, ect)
  • Database connectivity and solution development experience
  • Experience in working/establishing engineering or manufacturing component libraries
  • Experience in PLM solution integration such as connectivity to requirement management, ERP, MES systems, and CAD systems
  • Experience in PLM solution extension such as QMS, SLM, PCM, ect.
  • Experience in SAP PLM modules like SAP DMS, SAP ECM, ECTR, Classification, Notifications, Material Management, Bill of Materials, Data migration,
  • Expertise in NPI (New Product Initiatives) projects
  • Expertise in Customizing, delivering Functional Specifications for enhancements of SAP PLM solution mainly on PLM Web UI.
  • Excellent in communication and presentation skills. This role will have Stake Holders interactions, conducting workshops for requirements collections
  • Minimum of one End to End implementation Experience
  • Approval processes involved in a BOM creation; how does design get converted to
  • material BOM, etc. should be clear.
  • Good Knowledge in Material master, document master and Bill of materials, its fields and their impact in manufacturing and supply chain processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills enabling quick RCA and resolution of issues.
  • Ability to define processes/framework to resolve tickets, Interacted with the db, Hardware and networking, ERP-SAP,MES and Engineering team for fixing the issues
  • Experience in Oracle DB, SQL, PL/SQL

Implementation or support experience or conversion/migration on at least one SAP Project in SAP PLM Module

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or Information Technology and/or Business Administration
  • 2+ years of experience in the consulting the Manufacturing or Automotive industry
  • 3+ years of experience implementing R&D, Product Development, and Engineering Solutions like PLM
  • Ability to craft innovative, strategic solutions to complex problems within the Product Development domain
  • Project management experience for medium to large PLM implementations
  • Hands-on PLM implementation and advisory experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the automotive and manufacturing sector preferred

  • The Position will be related to our Plant in Canada near Alliston but as 100% Remote work, with travelling expectations to the Plant only in case of workshops and Important meetings.

    In case of roll outs and workshops it will be possible to travel in every Plant in Europe and Asia .
