Job Description

  • Organize, direct and disseminate orders to appropriate personnel
  • Provide proper training and guidance to Logistics Personnel and is responsible for their success, skill level and abilities
  • All shipping/receiving functions as required to support/assist staff
  • Perform audits on completed orders
  • Provide recommendations and support logistics projects for continuous improvement
  • Troubleshoot and provide recommendations to eliminate errors/illuminate opportunities
  • Coordinate with Sales to achieve optimum output (weekly sales v daily) i.e. -  full skid sales quantities and other projects
  • Comply and monitor compliance to Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures as well as company policies and procedures
  • Fully implement and maintain 5S, support OPS (Oetiker Production System) activities
  • Provide feedback regarding personnel performance to Logistics Head - Canada for performance audits

Qualifications

  • Organizational Skills, Attention to Detail Skills, Inspection/Auditing Skills, Math Skills, Reading Comprehension Skills, Leadership and  computer skills(Microsoft Office)
  • College Diploma in a technical field or closely aligned program
  • 2-4 years supervisory experience in an automotive manufacturing field
  • Knowledge of customs and global logistics
  • Supervisory courses-Ontario Management Development Program(OMPD)-preferred
  • Forklift experience an asset
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, IATF 16949
