Job Description

  • Support technical sales team in new tool sales, integration and commissioning
    • Recommend optimal assembly solutions to sales account managers and customers, including Oetiker product, third party and integrated automated equipment 
    • Onsite customer installation of pneumatic and electronic tooling into high-end automated assembly lines
  • Servicing of tools installed at customer sites
    • Develop and execute service strategy including, geographic coverage, customer response time, service revenue and customer satisfaction levels
    • Provide customer training and support of Oetiker tools remotely or at customer location
    • Tool repairs within PTC department or onsite at customer location
    • Responsible for inventory levels and data accuracy in Power Tool Center
  • Compliance and Cross-functional co-ordination
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and environmental regulations
    • Compliance to the ICM Master Manual – TS 16949 & ISO 14001 EMS requirements
    • Maintain library of technical data and information
    • Conduct VOCs and analyze existing installation of tools to make technical recommendations to R&D and Product Marketing to improve overall performance
    • Work closely with R&D, Product Marketing and Sales to ensure seamless launch of new products
    • Train sales team on new and existing tools and related topics
    • Work closely with other regional PTCs for knowledge sharing and for executing PTC process improvement projects
  • Team management
    • Set targets, implement guidelines, and assist with any issues the team members may have
    • Ensure positive work environment, high motivation levels, and professional development of team members
    • Serve as the role model for the team

 

Qualifications

  • You have completed 3 1/2 years of training in an electromechanical profession and, based on this, further training to become a state-certified technician (m/f/d)
  • You have several years of professional experience in a similar position
  • You have extensive knowledge of Serial and Ethernet/IP Protocols for industrial equipment
  • You have extensive knowledge of PLCs to interact with automated equipment
  • You know how to program e.g., Siemens Production System (SPS), Allen Bradley and all configuration of industrial networks
  • You are able to understand, create and maintain electrical/electronic schematics
  • You are able to trouble shoot electrical/electronic problems (i.e. Multimeter, stripping wires)
  • You have proficient Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point) and SAP knowledge
  • You speak fluent English and German and can express yourself clearly in writing
  • You are a team player, you are communicative and you have a customer-friendly demeanor
  • You are ready to travel (30-50% of time) to our customer locations within Europe
  • Prior team management experience (preferred)
