Odyssey Interactive is a Canadian Game Development studio formed around the mantra of building "Games you Live". The studio is comprised of experienced devs from a large number of studios and games such as League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, Apex Legends, Call of Duty, Warframe and many more. We're a small, talent dense team that is looking to make accessible yet deep PvP games that are played by players all over the world by building games with them from the earliest points in our development process.

As the Studio Art Director at Odyssey, you will be the artist who’s responsible for the strength and health of all the art teams that we build together as our studios scales. You’ll partner with Art Leads on teams, providing them the type of support you wish you’d had when you were in their shoes. Notably, this role is far more about the people and their craft growth, and less about being the creative mind behind what we create. This distinction is important, because we would look to have you scale your oversight across the art teams of all of our future game teams, where you would partner with the Art Leads to help them bring their creative visions to life.

• 6+ years in the games industry on at least one successful title
• 4 years in a manager/leadership role
• Experience recruiting, mentoring, and performance managing teams through various stages of a game's lifecycle
• Strong communication where you're able to flip between different forms of communication to talk to artists, engineers, designers, and production on the fly.
• Strong organizational thinker - you can partner with leadership to look into the future and think through how to structure a strong and healthy organization.
