Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Account Executive to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a vital interface between Octaria and its clients, responsible for both business development (sales) and managing ongoing client relationships. This is a full-time position, and we offer a flexible, hybrid work environment with occasional in-person meetings in Houston, TX. We are hiring in Houston, TX or Washington D.C. and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in a role as a combination of a sales representative and account manager

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, developing and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships

  • Conduct business development activities to attract new clients and grow Octaria's client base

  • Collaborate with our software development teams to ensure deliverables align with client needs and expectations

  • Work closely with our engineering teams to communicate project scopes and changes, ensuring a seamless transition from sales to production

  • Provide regular updates to clients on the progress of customer service projects and initiatives

  • Create sales forecasts and reports, and assist with setting sales goals

Qualifications

 

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales or account management role in tech or consulting industries

  • Experience with software sales and/or consulting is preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred

  • Experience with business development or account management for software or project consulting a plus

  • Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

  • US-based and legally authorized to work in the US

Additional Information

We offer the option of a hybrid work model for those based in Houston, TX or Washington, D.C. (Tysons Corner, VA). Remote US-based employees are also welcome.

Compensation
Base: $55k-$75k depending on experience

On-Target Earnings (OTE): $95k - $110k. No cap
