Job Description

Purpose of the Role

Join Ocorian's Global Accounting team and play a key role in supporting finance operations across a growing number of international jurisdictions. As a Senior Finance Accountant, you'll contribute to financial reporting, statutory accounting, tax and treasury activities while partnering with finance colleagues and business stakeholders across the Group to deliver high-quality financial information and insights.

This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your accounting expertise within a global environment while developing your leadership and coaching capabilities. You'll gain exposure to multi-jurisdictional finance operations, contribute to group reporting and process improvement initiatives, and support the development of colleagues while playing an important role in the continued growth and success of the Global Accounting function.

Main Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of accounting and financial reporting activities for designated jurisdictions within the Global Accounting team.
  • Prepare and review management accounts, financial reporting packs and business reviews for key stakeholders.
  • Support month-end and year-end reporting activities, ensuring the delivery of accurate and meaningful financial information.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations and accounting records across multiple entities.
  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements, tax returns and regulatory filings in line with applicable requirements.
  • Partner with auditors, regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders to support audit and reporting activities.
  • Support treasury activities, including cash flow reporting, payment processes and financial analysis.
  • Contribute to Group reporting activities, including the consolidation and review of financial information across jurisdictions.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and share knowledge on accounting standards, policies and best practices.
  • Support and coach Finance Accountants and junior colleagues, contributing to their development and growth.
  • Contribute to finance projects, process improvements and automation initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Build strong relationships across the business, collaborating with stakeholders to support informed decision-making and business performance.

Qualifications

  • Part-qualified ACCA, ACA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Experience gained within finance, accounting, financial reporting or a related professional services environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience preparing management accounts, statutory financial statements and financial reporting within a finance or accounting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax and VAT principles, with experience supporting multi-entity or multi-jurisdictional reporting activities.
  • Experience working with auditors and stakeholders to support financial reporting and compliance activities.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial information and provide meaningful business insights.
  • Experience contributing to process improvement initiatives and enhancing finance operations through effective use of systems and technology.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and jurisdictions.
