Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

As part of the HR Operations team, you will use your knowledge of HR processes, systems and data to deliver accurate, consistent and timely services across Ocorian’s global jurisdictions. Working within a Shared Services environment, you will provide an effective employee and manager experience.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply knowledge of HR policies, procedures, processes and systems to resolve employee and manager queries accurately, escalating complex or sensitive matters through the appropriate route.
  • Coordinate onboarding and employee lifecycle activities, including new joiner inductions and the accurate preparation of employment, promotion and other HR documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee data in relevant HR systems, complete data checks and audits, identify discrepancies and take appropriate corrective action to protect data integrity.
  • Manage recurring HR processes such as probation reviews, employee referrals and benefits administration, tracking actions and deadlines and following up to ensure completion.
  • Map and document HR processes, identify opportunities to simplify or standardise delivery, and contribute practical improvements based on user feedback and service data.
  • Translate business and user needs into clear HR system requirements, support testing against defined scenarios, record issues accurately and assist with the effective deployment of new or enhanced functionality.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrable ability to deliver accurate and timely HR administration across employee lifecycle processes; experience gained in a Shared Services or high-volume service environment is beneficial.
  • Confidently use HR information systems to enter, maintain and retrieve employee data, with an understanding of data quality, confidentiality and access controls.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise queries through a case-management or ticketing system, maintaining clear records and meeting agreed service levels; direct experience is desirable.
  • Intermediate Excel capability, including organising and validating data, using formulas and creating PivotTables to support reporting and analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to organise competing tasks, manage deadlines and produce accurate documentation and data.
  • Clear, service-focused communication skills, with the ability to explain HR information appropriately and work effectively with employees, managers and external providers across different levels and locations.
  • Structured problem-solving skills: gather relevant information, identify root causes, evaluate options and implement or recommend practical solutions.
  • Demonstrates initiative, adaptability and sound judgement, balancing responsiveness with accuracy, consistency and appropriate escalation.
  • Ability to work across jurisdictions and apply global processes while recognising when local requirements or guidance must be considered; exposure to international HR is desirable.
