Job Description
Purpose of the job:
Take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients while building your expertise across complex accounting, financial reporting and client service delivery. In this role, you'll work closely with clients, auditors and colleagues across multiple jurisdictions, delivering high-quality financial statements, management accounts and accounting solutions that support a range of Real Estate and Private Equity structures.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to broaden their technical expertise while developing their leadership skills. You'll play a key role in reviewing deliverables, coaching junior team members and driving high standards across the team, while contributing to a collaborative environment that values quality, continuous improvement and exceptional client service.
Main Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of a portfolio of clients, building trusted relationships and delivering a high standard of service.
- Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts and complex accounting deliverables in line with relevant accounting standards.
- Apply your technical expertise to complex reconciliations, financial reporting and client accounting matters.
- Partner with clients, auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met and deliverables are completed efficiently.
- Review accounting records, reconciliations and VAT returns, helping to maintain accuracy and quality across the team.
- Support and coach junior colleagues, sharing technical knowledge and contributing to their professional development.
- Assist managers with the review of client deliverables and provide support on accounting and operational matters.
- Contribute to budgeting, project work and process improvement initiatives that enhance client outcomes and team performance.
- Identify and escalate client issues proactively, helping to manage risks and deliver effective solutions.
- Maintain high-quality working papers and documentation in line with Ocorian standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent), or relevant accounting, audit or financial services experience.
- Experience preparing financial statements, management accounts and client reporting within a professional services or financial services environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, including IFRS, with exposure to UK GAAP, Real Estate or Private Equity structures considered beneficial.
- Ability to support and develop colleagues through technical guidance, knowledge sharing and collaborative working.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems, with experience of platforms such as E-Front, Value Financials or similar software being advantageous.
