Job Description

Purpose of the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a portfolio of high-value private client structures while playing a key role in the continued growth of Ocorian's Private Client business in Bermuda. Working closely with the Head of Private Client Bermuda, you will build and strengthen trusted client relationships, drive business development initiatives, and lead a high-performing team to deliver exceptional service. Your contribution will directly influence client satisfaction, business growth, and the ongoing success of the Private Client Service Line.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of complex private client structures, ensuring exceptional service delivery and long-term client satisfaction.
  • Lead, coach and develop team members, creating a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Support workforce and succession planning, identifying future talent needs and developing internal capability through mentoring and coaching.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, intermediaries and key stakeholders, identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and expand services.
  • Represent Ocorian externally, strengthening market presence and helping drive new business opportunities across the wider organisation.
  • Monitor market trends, client needs and competitor activity to support strategic growth and enhance service offerings.
  • Identify and pursue cross-selling and business development opportunities through strong commercial awareness and client insight.
  • Work closely with internal service lines and support functions to ensure operational excellence and effective delivery of client solutions.
  • Oversee financial management activities including timely billing, cash collection and overall portfolio profitability.
  • Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures and operational improvements that enhance efficiency, governance and client outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Solicitor, Accountant, STEP professional or equivalent relevant professional qualification.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience within the trust and fiduciary industry, including significant management-level responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams, developing talent and delivering strong business and client outcomes.
  • Proven success in business development, client relationship management and working with high-net-worth individuals and their advisers.
  • Experience representing organisations at industry events, conferences or professional seminars, and serving on boards or working closely with board-level stakeholders are both desirable.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Extensive technical knowledge of trust, fiduciary and corporate structures, including discretionary trusts, reserved powers trusts, revocable and irrevocable trusts, private trust companies, foundations, family office structures, EBTs and ESOPs.
  • Strong understanding of investments, accounting, tax, legislation and regulatory requirements relevant to private client services in Bermuda.
  • Thorough knowledge of AML, CFT, fiduciary and investor protection regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong corporate governance experience with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and boards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence, negotiate and build trusted relationships across diverse audiences.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Ability to use data, market insight and business intelligence to support decision-making and business development strategies.
  • Established network of professional intermediaries and referral sources within the private wealth and  supporting strategic business planning and growth initiatives within a fiduciary or private client business are both desirable.
