Purpose of the Job

Join Ocorian's Entity Management Team in Mauritius and take the next step in your leadership career. In this role, you'll lead and develop a team of talented professionals, helping to deliver exceptional service to our global offices while driving operational excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your technical expertise, people leadership skills and passion for continuous improvement in a collaborative and internationally focused environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire and support a team of Officers and Senior Officers, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.
  • Oversee the allocation and progression of tasks, ensuring work is prioritised effectively and delivered within agreed service levels.
  • Review and approve work to ensure accuracy, quality, compliance and adherence to established processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for team members, providing guidance, support and solutions to day-to-day challenges.
  • Coach, mentor and develop colleagues, helping them build their skills, confidence and career progression.
  • Monitor team performance, productivity and time recording, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare and analyse reports, dashboards and key performance metrics to support informed decision-making and team success.
  • Partner with the Manager on operational excellence initiatives, continuous improvement projects and the day-to-day leadership of the team.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • A degree in Law, Finance, Management or a related field; a professional qualification such as ICSA/ICG, STEP or ACCA would be an advantage.
  • At least 5 years' experience within a Management Company or similar financial services environment, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong people management and coaching skills, with a genuine passion for developing and empowering others.
  • A solid understanding of financial services, company secretarial and corporate administration processes, as well as relevant laws, regulations and AML/CFT requirements.
  • Proven ability to deliver service excellence, maintain high-quality standards and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, a proactive and solutions-focused mindset, and experience with Viewpoint, NavOne or similar systems would be beneficial.
