Job Description

Purpose of the Role

  • Our content applications are a part of Ocorian’s core application set and this role is to be the prime source of expertise in the firm for these applications which include iManage, IntApp Walls, DocuSign, HighQ, RiskScreen and other related systems as may be identified or acquired, providing guidance and support for all aspects of application usage including data migration and consolidation, application integration, maintenance and data analysis.
  • To lead the deployment, maintenance, upgrade and development of content applications in all Ocorian offices.
  • To support colleagues across the firm globally in the use of all content applications through the sharing of knowledge, skills and experience including working with the Ocorian Learning and Development Team.
  • To support business development initiatives where necessary with particular focus on data onboarding and the use of content applications to meet client requirements.
  • To be a primary technical contact with our suppliers and vendors.
  • To produce and maintain clear and succinct systems and integrations documentation. Where custom development is required, produce clear specifications, including use and test cases, for developers working in an Agile DevOps oriented development environment and ensure appropriate quality testing including the design and creation of test scripts.
  • To help deliver high quality and consistent data, processes and reporting in all business areas and jurisdictions in line with Ocorian's information security model, controls, and procedures.

Main Responsibilities

  • Through working with colleagues across the business, ensure that Ocorian makes the best use of all applications capabilities.
  • To lead and support all technical operations on the content applications including system testing, patches, and upgrades.
  • To ensure that the content applications comply with the firm’s information security, application, and information lifecycle policies.
  • To lead and support all data migration initiatives including the rapid onboarding of external data as well as data migration between Ocorian applications.
  • To implement, maintain and support integrations with all Ocorian applications.
  • To share knowledge and expertise with colleagues across Ocorian, including the technical training and development of more junior team members.
  • Work within the Ocorian Change Control environment.
  • To identify, develop and implement core standard business processes across all jurisdictions.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of and deep experience with content and document management systems is essential; it is expected that the post holder would typically have 5+ years’ experience working with document management systems in a similar financial services environment.
  • A deep understanding and technical knowledge of iManage, IntApp Walls/Integration Builder, DocuSign, HighQ and similar systems in a financial services industry. By way of example, this postholder would be expected to install and configure a complete iManage DMS solution, including RAVN Search, from scratch as well as setting up appropriate monitoring and maintenance plans.
  • Good understanding and technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Microsoft SQL, the Microsoft Power platform and Azure cloud. 
  • This position requires a strong BA skill set covering process, system and data analysis, data management, data migration, reporting, planning and business intelligence as well as operational and risk knowledge including a firm understanding of information security and compliance processes.
  • The postholder must be quick and clear thinking with the ability to devise innovative solutions where appropriate and with the self-motivation to tackle tasks independently where required.
  • Since this role involves working with a wide range of colleagues at all levels and in all jurisdictions, excellent people skills are required to include a high level of integrity, strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • The ability to work logically and efficiently is essential.  The role involves interactions at all levels of Ocorian and with external parties, so a personable nature and good communication skills are highly necessary.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities that a role of this seniority may be reasonably expected to undertake.
