Job Description
The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.
OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Jumbo Operator to operate and maintain jumbo drilling equipment efficiently and safely in underground mining operations.
The role will report to the mining supervisor.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Implements advanced drilling techniques and technologies to improve drilling efficiency and accuracy.
Trains and mentors junior operators, sharing best practices and providing guidance on jumbo operation techniques.
Skilfully and safely operate other mining underground equipment
Qualifications

Educational Background: At least high school graduate
Work Experience and Background: 5+ years experience in Jumbo Operation
Specialization/License: Driver’s license
Knowledge: in mining operation and safety protocols
Skills: Communication, Equipment Operation, Material handling
Abilities: Adaptability, Team collaboration, Problem-solving, Physical endurance
