Job Description

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Consultant – Maintenance to lead the development and execution of maintenance strategies that ensure the reliability, safety, and longevity of critical assets and facilities. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, minimising downtime, and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize maintenance planning and execution across all assets and facilities.
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies aligned with ISO 55001 standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive predictive and preventative maintenance initiatives, including condition monitoring.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts effectively.
  • Utilize CMMS and data analytics to monitor performance and guide decision-making.
  • Champion sustainability practices such as energy efficiency and waste reduction.
  • Mentor and lead cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical), Asset Management, or Business Administration.
  • Advanced degree or certification in Asset Management (e.g., CAMA, CMRP) preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in asset management or maintenance planning.
  • 5+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proven success in implementing asset management systems and strategies.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Reliability-centered maintenance and condition monitoring.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of lifecycle costing.
  • Strategic planning and project management capabilities.
  • Advanced data analytics and KPI interpretation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in CMMS and risk management practices.
