Job Description

Seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Logistics Officer (Concentrate) to be based at Poro Point La Union who will oversee the general operations and activities at the Poro-Point warehouse which includes receiving and shipping deliveries, conducting stock checks, recording warehouse transactions, storage of inventory, and guaranteeing the safe and efficient operation of the material handling equipment. The role will report to the Supervisor-Process Operations (Concentrate Logistics).

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Plan, tracking and receiving of deliveries from Didipio Mine and assign operators to drive the trucks back to site after unloading
  • Supervise loading and unloading of materials and maintaining records of daily inventory of copper concentrate and lifting equipment at Poro warehouse
  • Ensure timely submission of report data and/or regularly generates complete cycle delivery/trucking receiving reports
  • Prepare accurate delivery reports and keep track records of every haul truck per delivery especially actual tonnes received after unloading and report daily to Concentrate Logistics Team
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of all relevant documents, regulatory permits (MGB, BOC, OTP, etc), and clearances needed prior to, during and after every shipment
  • Maintain proper organization and efficient filing of all documents both electronic and hard copies, i.e. Parcel Manifest, Weight Receipts, Outward Truck Manifest, OTP, Daily trucking report and inventory of lifting equipments
  • Promptly report any warehouse, shipping and trucking operational issues/concerns including delays, incidents, or any other emergencies to immediate supervisor
  • Ensure that any warehousing and trucking incident is reported to Concentrate Logistics Team immediately and conducts incident investigation in accordance with SOPs
  • Assist new team members in understanding the HSE requirements – exercise positive peer influence to enhance safe behaviour
  • Assist contractors in facilitation of shipment and other warehouse operations when required at Port
  • Care and watch out for the safety of co-workers and people entering the area

Qualifications

  • Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Corp. Values and the OceanaGold Way
  • Preferably graduate of Commerce, Engineering, or any similar course
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience relevant to the role
  • Warehouse and Shipping experience is an advantage
  • Professional work ethic and behavior
  • Positive and possesses a “can do” attitude
  • With a valid Professional Driver’s License
  • Interpersonal and communication skills in both verbal and written
  • Drive for continuous improvement and innovation
