Our Lehigh Valley facility is currently looking for an EXPERIENCED Blender, Compounder, Mixer for a 12hr night shift position to join our team Breinigsville, PA.  This 300,000 square foot plant is  capable of producing up to 40 million cases per year. This volume represents 40% of Ocean Spray’s North American volume and is operated with a workforce of approximately 185 employees.


We are looking for an experienced Blender/Compounder/Mixer for our high-speed beverage manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for blending ingredients of juice product to proper specifications with strict adherence to quality guidelines and Ocean Spray formula tolerances.  To clean and sanitize juice processing and storage equipment in accordance with sanitation guidelines. To load and/or unload containers of concentrates, premixes, and rework.


Job Description

Minimum knowledge, skills and ability requirements:

  • Print and utilize the SAP production schedule and computerized database for proper formulas.

  • Monitor/document ingredient usage to ensure delivery is in accordance with acceptable formula specification maximizing yields.

  • Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate quality checks.

  • Verify quality of products and container integrity in accordance with OSC/Quality guidelines.

  • Weigh essential vitamins (i.e. vitamins A&E) and any other hand add ingredients.

  • Prepare blending system equipment for cleaning.

  • Clean and sanitize all associated equipment within blending operation (i.e. biotrace swabbing).

  • Ensure proper discharge of cleaning chemicals and product residue in accordance with waste water pre-treatment regulations.

  • Designates storage of juice and concentrate from tankers and coordinates loading of blended products.

  • Visually inspect, record, and dump concentrate rework and premixes.

  • Participate in team process and maintain good customer/supplier relationships.

  • The employee is frequently required to:

    • Frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds of dry/liquid ingredients

    • Be mobile, climb stairs, and bend on a regular basis

    • Listen for different sounds of the pumps, alarms, tank indicators

    • Must have good color vision and depth perception in order to visually inspect the product(s)

    • Taste, smell and visually inspect every batch of product for quality checks.

  • Ability to work twelve (12) hour shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Basic computer skills required (i.e. Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook, Maximo, OEE).

  • Good interpersonal skills associated with the need to work constructively within a team environment.

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
