Company Description

Our Client is a prominent player in the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry, the company’s operations span across major businesses in the Oil and Gas value chain. The Client is looking for a young dynamic Head for its projects and construction affairs.

Job Description

Coordination of all the activities associated with Clients projects, and ensures they are completed on time and within the agreed budget.
Works with the management team to identify and make recommendations to Executive Management on short, medium- and long-term projects to achieve strategic objectives 
For approved projects, develops and agrees project objectives and plans, performance requirements and identifies project participants 
Monitors and revises project plans, and escalates issues and/or risks as they arise in line with agreed exception criteria 
Manages the project planning, budgeting, and resource identification process as needed 
Ensures optimal allocation and use of resources- labour, materials and equipment and liaises with Procurement to ensures their acquisition at the most favourable terms 
Oversees the project execution and delivery from start to finish, in line with agreed project timelines 
Monitors the project and ensures that risks are assessed, escalated and addressed promptly.
Develops effective communications and mechanisms for resolving disputes / conflicts amongst project participants
Forms teams, develops the objectives/goals of each and assigning individual responsibilities.
Identifies the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims
Maintains strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards Periodically inspects work sites.
Co-coordinates the efforts of all third parties involved in the project, (e.g. architects, consultants, quantity surveyor, contractors, sub-contractors and labourers etc.

Qualifications

MBA or master’s degree in relevant field 
Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in related field with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in project management, Civil Engineering, Building or other relevant discipline
Relevant professional qualification e.g. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince II
