Our Client is a well-established mining company in Nigeria, recognized for its commitment to safety and excellence in operations. As part of its ongoing expansion, the organization is seeking to hire an experienced 3-Phase Ops Factory Electrician to join its team.

Job Description

The successful Electrician will be a highly skilled individual with proven expertise in 3-phase electrical systems, preferably with a background in the mining industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical infrastructure across our industrial and mining operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Carry out regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems, particularly 3-phase operations.

Diagnose and resolve electrical faults by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

Safely handle and maintain high-voltage electrical systems in strict compliance with safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless and safe electrical operations.

Design and execute preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements

3–4 years of proven work experience as an Industrial Electrician, preferably in mining or heavy industrial environments.

In-depth understanding of 3-phase electrical systems, including circuit diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Good knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety frameworks (e.g., NEC, OSHA).

Physical ability to work in challenging conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and diverse environmental settings.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in the mining industry or familiarity with mining-specific electrical systems.

Professional certification in electrical work (e.g., Journeyman Electrician or equivalent).

Hands-on experience with SCADA systems, PLCs, or other industrial control systems.
