Our Client seeks a highly experienced and driven Senior Agricultural Sales Engineer to its market entry in Nigeria. The successful candidate will supervise two junior engineers, drive field engagement, build a network of agro-dealers and farmers, and provide regular strategic feedback to the head office and distribution team.

The role is based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Job Description

Lead the Companys market penetration strategy in-country.

Supervise and mentor 2 junior agricultural sales engineers.

Visit farms, agro-dealers, and cooperatives to promote seed varieties.

Organize and monitor product trials across key regions.

Develop and maintain relationships with agro-dealers and key opinion leaders.

Report weekly progress and monthly summaries 

Analyze competitor activity, pricing, packaging, and product positioning.

Assist in planning marketing campaigns, demo events, and field days.

Provide input on product demand and support in forecasting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in agri-input sales (preferably in hybrid seeds).

Strong network in the local agricultural community.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Fluent in English and local language(s).

Willingness to travel extensively within the country.

Familiarity with digital reporting tools (Excel, Google Drive, WhatsApp, etc.).
