Our Client operates in the upstream Oil and Gas industry, It currently requires a Coating Superintendent to enhance its team.

Job Description

Job Summary

Will be involved in all activities where Coating is carried out: mainly line pipe coating yard (onshore) and pipe lay vessel (Offshore - field joint coating). Will also be in charge of spools, risers, J-tube painting in SURF subcontractor fabrication yard.

Key Job Duties

Follow up of contractor’s activities in his discipline and ensure compliance with design and Project specifications.

Review all procedures related to coating.

Review/supervise qualifications of all coating personnel at Site.

Review all Site queries related to coating and co-ordinate with SURF package for all problems.

Review and comment planning updates included critical path. Review progress for coating section for the approval of the Package manager.

Will prepare a daily report that will record the main events.

Review and comment CONTRACTOR site documentation related to coating in due time.

Monitor all coating activities.

Monitor QC activities of CONTRACTOR related to coating.

Will prepare and then implement a QC audit system to ensure that the contractual requirements are fully implemented.

Carry out inspections at Vendors workshops when required.

Ensure that all documents related to coating are properly managed by COMPANY document control section.

Ensure that HSE and QA procedures are properly implemented.

Establish a smooth and efficient working relationship with CONTRACTOR personnel.

Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by hierarchy.

 

HSE Responsibilities

Attend weekly HSE meeting on Site. Attend monthly HSE Committee on main Yard when required. Attend tool box meetings. Attend Safety tours at least once a week.

Ensure that all incidents and anomalies related to Coating activities are properly reported and analysed. Follow-up of improvement plan related to coating activities.

Motivate Contractor, Sub Contractor and Company personnel in order to achieve HSE targets that will be set up jointly between all parties.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Background

FROSIO or NACE Level 3 certified coating Inspector

Professional experience:

At least 15 years experience in coating for offshore projects. English speaking is mandatory

Previous experience with an Oil Company/Client position in a QC paint/PFP inspection.

Previous experience of similar Projects &/or Referential G S & Guidelines requirements is required.
